Pier Francesco Moretti is a physicist with more than 80 international publications, a PhD in Astronomy (spectroscopic solar imaging), a PhD in Earth Sciences (nanometric characterization of surfaces) and an international patent (remote evaluation of hardening of metallic surfaces). He has been involved in many international/European research projects (Seasera, Jerico, ERA-Envhealth, COPAL), has coordinated national research groups (Extra-Terrestrial Nanomaterials Analysis) and has been Co-Investigator for an Italian space Mission (ADAHELI). He is Member of Advisory Boards for European Projects (MIRA, JPI to co-Work), referee for international journals and long-term visitor scientist at University of Hawaii (USA) and Kanzelhohe Solar Observatory (Austria). He has been responsible of the Office for the International Activities of the CNR Department of Earth and Environment. He has provided the scientific support to the CNR delegate at the ESF-Marine Board and he has also been the delegate himself. In addition, he is working as a staff member of the Secretariat of the JPI Oceans. He works at the CNR Liaison Office in Brussels.
