European Maritime Day 2013 Joint Workshop on Oceans and Human Health

In the framework of the European Maritime Day next 21-22 May 2013 in Valletta, Malta, JPI Oceans and European Marine Board organise a joint workshop on Oceans and Human Health.

This workshop focuses on the relationships between marine environmental health and human health. Speakers will highlight the need for a coordinated oceans and human health research programme in Europe, addressing both benefits and challenges to public health, associated with our interactions with the seas. Furthermore, the workshop will highlight the need for monitoring the marine environment in the context of the EU Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD).

The workshop will take place the 22 May 2013, from 09:30 till 11:00 at the Mediterranean Conference Centre (Mediterranean Street, Valletta, Malta), room: Marketing office.
