JPI Oceans stakeholder forum
The Forum will bring together diverse stakeholders to solicit feedback, engagement and discussions on the draft Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) of JPI Oceans.
In light of the growing global concerns over the spread of the COVID-19 virus, JPI Oceans has decided to postpone the Stakeholder Forum planned on 8 April in Brussels. The health and wellbeing of our partners, employees and the overall community is our top priority. With non-essential travel discouraged by some of our members organisations, the JPI Oceans secretariat and Internal Advisory Committee assessed that the risks outweigh any benefits of having the event at the scheduled timing. We are now assessing the options of organizing the forum at a later date and will inform you as soon as this is decided.
The event, will be a crucial step towards a revision of the SRIA 2015-2020. The revised strategy aims to provide a framework and direction that allows JPI Oceans to add value to national research and innovation efforts, to address European science and policy ambitions and to contribute to global marine and maritime agendas.
Forum participants will be invited to provide feedback to the draft SRIA, reflect on research and innovation priorities and discuss potential for Joint Actions and collaborations to strengthen the relevance and impact of the updated SRIA of JPI Oceans.
