PAGES Expert Meeting

The Process-based Assessment for the Good Environmental Status (PAGES) experts will convene in Naples on 10 April 2026 to discuss a process-based approach to the Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD) monitoring strategy. Particular emphasis will be placed on strengthening the understanding of the relationships between biotic and abiotic components of the marine environment in the assessment of Good Environmental Status (GES). The overarching objective of this meeting is to streamline methodological complexity in order to support a more efficient and effective implementation of the MSFD. The programme will also include a visit on board the research vessel Gaia Blu.
