Gabrielle Aubert has joined JPI Oceans team as Science-policy adviser in November 2024. Her current work portfolio focuses on Horizon Europe projects (Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership and PREP4BLUE). She holds a Bachelor in French and common law, a Master’s degree in International and European Law from the Université Paris Nanterre and a double Master’s degree in Environmental Law from the University of Melbourne and the Université Paris Nanterre. Gabrielle specialised in marine biodiversity protection, and wrote her dissertation on Marine Protected Areas and the need for a global framework of protection. Previously, she completed an internship in France for the startup Origins.earth (part of the Suez group), working on providing carbon finance tools for cities. Previously, she worked as a policy analyst at the Institute for European Environmental Policy and focused on EU and global biodiversity policies.
