The European Ocean Observing System (EOOS) is a coordinating framework designed to align and integrate Europe’s ocean observing capacity, promote a systematic and collaborative approach to collecting information on the state and variability of our seas, and underpin sustainable management of the marine environment and its resources.
The EOOS Resource Forum held a fruitful first meeting on 15 November 2021. The exchanges at this first meeting showed the value of bringing together national and European funders of ocean observation to identify shared priorities and advised on strategies for long-term sustainable ocean observing in Europe.
The EOOS Resource Forum 2022 will be held on 7 December 2022, online.
