Lisa Picatto is a Communication Officer at JPI Oceans. She implements JPI Oceans communication-related tasks and activities, leads the communication work package for the OKEANO CSA supporting the All-Atlantic Ocean Research and Innovation Alliance, and manages the European Marinas Network Joint Action. With a background in Marine Biology and specialised training in Science Communication and Ocean Literacy, Lisa combines scientific knowledge with creative skills. Her work spans stakeholder engagement, outreach and citizen science, complemented by strengths in content creation, graphic design, videomaking, and data-driven storytelling. Prior to joining JPI Oceans in 2024, she acted as teaching assistant and scientific mediator at the Institut de la Mer de Villefranche (IMEV), as field researcher for the Tethys Research Institute, and as outreach officer for the Aberdeen University Marine Society.
