Harmonising Atlantic voices into one vision - highlights from the 2024 All-Atlantic Forum

The 2024 All-Atlantic Ocean Research and Innovation Alliance (AAORIA) Forum is the event to attend for the science-policy community all around the Atlantic. From 8-10 October, the Canadian Museum of Nature in Ottawa, Canada, hosted representatives from the Atlantic community, including the AAORIA Partners.
Handbook on cumulative effects assessment launched

On Tuesday 11 June 2024, the common handbook "Cumulative effects assessment in the marine environment" was launched at the JPI Oceans Strategic Navigation Forum. The handbook is the culmination of work of the JPI Oceans Knowledge Hub Cumulative Effects of Human Activities.
The Conference we attended for the Decade we need

The 2024 Ocean Decade Conference brought together the global Ocean Decade community from 8-12 April in Barcelona to celebrate achievements and set joint priorities for the remainder of the Decade. JPI Oceans contributed actively to the Conference and to ‘delivering the science we need for the ocean we want,’ as a co-organiser in three of the Conference’s satellite events.
