Embark on a unique artistic and educational expedition aboard the ship of the Talk C.E.C gallery's immersive and interactive exhibition, Seas and Oceans, from April 20 to June 25!
JPI Oceans, as the scientific partner, has contributed to the exhibition's murals with scientific aspects and will host weekly public talks with our researchers and the public. The aim of the event, endorsed as a UN Ocean Decade activity, is to raise awareness about the importance and complexity of the ocean and its inhabitants and to discuss the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
Scientists and experts see the impacts of critical environmental issues every day in their research, and they have the means to explain and communicate important topics, scientific progress and actions to the artists and to the public.
By working together with the artists, scientists can also communicate through a different means: using art as a tool for bringing awareness and engagement. By giving talks to the public in conferences, or through informal chats in the dedicated “Science Café”, scientists can directly communicate and engage with the community.
