Paul Trautendorfer is primarily involved in the Strategic Engagements with EOOS, AMRIT, and MMinE-SwEEPER. In addition, he supports the Joint Action on Ecological Aspects of Deep-Sea Mining and the Offshore Freshened Groundwater Scoping Action. His academic background is in Communication Science and Global Studies, where he focused on Maritime Security and Ocean Governance. Prior to joining JPI Oceans in 2024, Paul completed an internship as a policy advisor at the Permanent Mission of Austria to the United Nations. Besides, he is pursuing the goal of establishing an Ocean Hub in Austria.
