Jella Kandziora

Science-policy advisor

As economist and environmental engineer Jella Kandziora has a strong focus on pollutants in aquatic environments. She is the main contact point for Underwater Noise, Changing Marine Lightscapes and the Scoping Action on plastic-associated chemical pollution. She supports the Joint Action Munition in the Sea including the two EU-funded projects, the Strategic Engagement European Ocean Observing System and AMRIT. She was also reponsible for the concluded Joint Action Ecological Aspects of Microplastics and the ERA-Net Cofund AquaticPollutants. Prior to joining JPI Oceans she did her PhD in international economics and worked for Project Management Juelich where she administered national and international programmes in the field of sustainable economy on behalf of various ministries in Germany.
