Current Strategic Engagements
The All-Atlantic Ocean Research Alliance is the result of science diplomacy efforts involving countries from both sides of the Atlantic Ocean, aiming at enhancing marine research and innovation cooperation across the Atlantic anywhere between the Arctic and Antarctica.
The European Ocean Observing System (EOOS) is a coordinating framework for European in-situ ocean observing. EOOS brings together Europe’s diverse ocean observing communities to promote collaboration, strengthen coordination and integration, and promote sustainability in ocean observing in Europe.
The EU-funded MINKE project will integrate key European marine metrology research infrastructures to propose an innovative framework of 'quality of oceanographic data' for European actors monitoring and managing marine ecosystems.
The three-year project PREP4BLUE will prepare the EU Mission Ocean and Waters for a successful start. The Mission seeks to protect and restore marine and freshwater ecosystems and biodiversity, prevent and eliminate pollution of our ocean, seas, and waters, and make the Blue Economy sustainable, carbon neutral, and circular.
